Red Threads began in 2004 with three artists:
Liezl Buenaventura, Ellaine Guerrero and Irene
Calma. They are Real Life friends who got to
know each other through a mutual love for slash,
shounen-ai, yaoi, boy's love, and whatever-else-you-may-call-it.
They are anime/manga enthusiasts and draw primarily
in this style of art.

Through the years they were joined by more talented
artists and doll-makers, and thus continue to deliver
high quality art commissions and custom plushies to
clients all over the world.
The Red Threads art circle is currently employed by
Psi-com Publishing, and they draw for the Otaku
Manga Zine. (This is a quarterly anthology of both
shoujo and shounen stories that is sold nationwide in
the Philippines. There are currently four running series
in this anthology, and Red Threads does work for "Zodiac"
and "Always".)

They are also regular cover artists
for
Mojo Castle Press, and have produced work
for the books "Mercy Kill: Shattered Melody"
and "Through Neon Eyes" (both by Michael
Barnette).
Their current goal is to produce original Boy's
Love manga and to further promote the slash genre
in the Philippines. Whether through self-publication
or otherwise, Red Threads aims to be a dedicated
source for english-language Yaoi and Boy's Love. |
