CURRENT CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

1. NAME The name of the Organization shall be "The University of the Philippines' Sangkil Karasak", hereinafter called "UPSK". 2. AIMS & OBJECTIVES UPSK is a martial arts organization that exists to fulfill the following aims and objectives: 2.1 To promote arnis as a recognized Philippine martial art. 2.2 To represent the University of the Philippines in various arnis-related endeavors (i.e. tournaments, demonstrations, etc.) 2.3 To strive to provide and support an arnis sports and recreation program. 2.4 To promote the importance of participation and involvement in arnis to the personal development of students.

3. MEMBERSHIP
Membership of UPSK will be open to all students of the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

4. OFFICERS
4.1 An executive committee will conduct UPSK's administration. They are comprised of the ff:
4.1.1 President
4.1.2 Treasurer
4.1.3 Secretary
4.1.4 Public Relations Officer

5. DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS
5.1 All officers must attend the following meetings:
5.1.1 Monthly UPSK general assemblies
5.1.2 Yearly Lightning Scientific Arnis International (LSAI) Memorial Assembly. (Held in honor of the late Grandmaster Benjamin Luna Lema)

6. FINANCE
6.1 UPSK shall receive a monthly membership fee from its members that is not to exceed Php100.00 nor fall below Php50.00.
6.1.1 This may be paid in installments throughout the month (Php25.00 per week).

6.2 UPSK funds shall be used for the ff:
6.2.1 Arnis sticks
6.2.2 Headgear, body armor, groin guards
6.2.3 Publicity materials
6.2.4 Office Supplies
6.2.5 Other Sport-related items and materials needed to further UPSK as an organization.

7. RULES AND REGULATIONS
7.1 Rules and Regulations currently in effect may be amended during the beginning of the school year by UPSK's Officers and Adviser.
7.2 In the event of any violation pertaining to the current Rules and Regulations, punishments and/or probationary status may be issued by UPSK's Officers and Adviser.

8. AMENDMENTS
8.1 UPSK's Officers and Adviser shall be the sole body to amend the UPSK Constitution.
8.2 The Constitution shall be reviewed at least every five years from the date of taking effect.
8.3 The Constitution may be amended during the beginning of the school year by UPSK's Officers and Adviser.
8.4 The current rules and regulations may likewise be amended during the beginning of the school year by UPSK's Officers and Adviser.

9. OTHER
Any item not included here (eg. Meetings guidelines), should, in the event of any dispute, be run in accordance with the UPSK Constitution.
