The roster of Officers has been updated and the
new schedule for this semester (as well as the recruitment
period) will be up soon.

The UP Sangkil Karasak sparring team was able
to send a delegation of four to the First National
Inter-School Arnis Tournament last February 20-26,
2006: Coach Christian Alacar, Liezl Buenaventura
(Womens Middleweight), Gaius Rael Sison
(Mens Extra Lightweight), and James Llaneta
(Mens Extra Lightweight)).
Of the three competitors, two placed in their
individual weight categories (Liezl Buenaventura-
Gold, Womens Middleweight; Gauis Rael Sison-
Silver, Mens Extra Lightweight), and all
three brought home minor awards (Buenaventura-
Most Artistic Strikes (womens), Most Powerful
Strikes (womens), Crowd Favourite (womens);
Sison- Most Artistic Strikes (mens), Most
Disciplined Fighter (mens), Crowd Favourite
(mens); Llaneta- Sportsmanship Award (mens).)
In the final tally, the University of the Philippines
delegation placed 2nd in the overall school championships.

The UP Sangkil Karasak sparring team was able
to bring home 2 medals (Women's Middleweight -
Gold; Men's Extra Lightweight - Silver) from the
three competitors they sent off, as well as several
minor awards. They likewise placed second in the
Overall Schools - College Division awards count.
