BASICS
My name is Liezl Buenaventura. Lizz to my friends, Lizzy to my family, and the obvious 'hunny' to my better half. I'm nobody special,

just some girl who maybe wanted to make the world a little less mean and a little less lonely by sharing the little words and pictures inside her head. Saving the world through web design... yeah, that's me. ;)

I was born on September 24th and am of Chinese-Filipino descent. (Hence the site's oriental theme). I graduated from a 3-year certificate course at the College of Fine Arts (Studio Arts- Painting) in UP Diliman and am currently finishing my BFA in the same university, except this time in Visual Communication- Advertising. I don't think transfering is selling out as much as Accepting The Way of the World, but I digress.

You say potato, I say po-tah-to.

I am a freelance digital artist and I love what I do. So far, I've done background work (digital matte paintings) for music videos, front-end (and back-end when I don't have a choice) web design, and digital art commissions (portraits, book covers, etc.) for patrons all over the world. Someday I hope to be put in the position where I can paint whatever I want whenever I want, but I figure that'll happen when I'm either a) dead or b) too old to care. Barring that, I'm happy as long as I get paid to draw.

Vegetating in front of the pc has been my hobby since 1996, web-designing since 1998. I love beauty with a passion, and can be struck with bouts of immeasurable kindness and remarkable wickedness at various times.

I can be a bit rough around the edges on one day and annoyingly pink-clad and prissy the next. I can act like an utter child in one moment and be a calm pseudo-intellectual in the next. I despise injustice and yet can never be truly unbiased when speaking with and about people I love. On the zodiac I am the scales, blind justice balancing her verdict. Ruled by the planet Venus, I have an annoying habit of trying to maintain equality at all times; I am the stereotypical Libran female.

Often caught by the urge to create, I have drawn and written countless poems, paintings, and stories. The pages and sections within this site are an experiment. They are a look inside me and inside my life, and it was created in the hopes of *meaning* something to those who would experience it. It is meant to be enjoyed, not necessarily taken seriously, and hopefully will have achieved something in between.
